Faces are biometric data. We treat them that way.
EventFaces is built around the GDPR's strictest category of personal data, and hosted in the EU.
- Selfies are never stored
- They are compared in memory and discarded the moment the search ends. Not on disk, not in backups.
- Face data stays in its event
- A search only ever looks at the event you joined, never across events.
- Nothing without consent
- You read what happens before the camera turns on, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Deleted on schedule
- When an event's access period ends, its face data is deleted automatically.
- No trackers, no ads
- Only strictly necessary cookies. No analytics or advertising scripts on any page.
- People in photos have a say
- Anyone can ask for a photo of them to be removed, even without an account.

Questions people ask
Do I need to install an app?
No. Everything works in your phone's browser. There's an optional iPhone app if you prefer.
What happens to my selfie?
It is used for one search and discarded straight away. We keep only the list of photos you matched, so you can find them again, for a limited time.
Who can see the photos I'm in?
Your search results are yours. Organizers see all photos of their event, as they would in any shared album; other attendees only see photos they appear in.
I'm in a photo and want it taken down.
Send a removal request. You don't need an account, and the organizer reviews it.
How do the photos get in?
The organizer connects a Google Drive folder, lets guests upload, or both. New photos are processed automatically.
Do attendees pay anything?
No. Organizers pay per event or by subscription; joining and searching are free.
